30 Days of praise: All alone? Never alone. This is a challenge presented to us that consists of us searching for characteristics of God that we can be thankful for. Often we neglect the vast majority of who God is because we limit Him to being Love or being Patient or Forgiving, but if we think deeper we can see so many aspects of Him that we can be thankful for. So for this post i'll be looking at Psalm 16 and digging into it searching for aspects of God that I may have forgotten or not have considered. How did the cross change worship? How did the cross change worship, well ultimately this question comes down to the question of what does the cross mean to you? Because its not the cross we worship, we worship the one true living God. So we need to be very careful that we do not worship the fact that Jesus died for us, but rather Jesus himself, keeping in mind what he did for us as a fuel to our worship. It goes like this,we used to be bound by the old covenant that said that only the priests were able to worship God in the holiest of holy's, but now because Jesus died for us, the covenant was changed. We now have free access to God, we don't need to sacrifice anything, but ourselves in order to let God have all the glory and not ourselves justified by our works. In Christ we have no condemnation. God does not point His finger and say 'you are a sinner, therefore you can't worship me'. The opposite is true. I see God as a father that is wanting to embrace us ...

What is worship?

What does worship mean to me? W- Willingly O-  Offering R- Real S- Selflessness (for) H- His I- Incredible P- Presence Worship is a topic close to my heart. Most people don't realize that worship is not only songs that you sing in church or songs on a CD, but everything we do is a form of worship. Our entire existence is to bless God with our obedience, which is worship. Personally for me this means seeking God away from everyone. Singing Him songs and praising Him. But all in all worship is a way to experience Gods presence, to really dive into the more that he has for us. Truly its a sacrifice on our behalf, but so worthy is our cause and motivation. You see for me, worship is not about just the physical, for me its about showing God how much i love him through me pouring out everything I can.

Saved by Grace, Called by God Where else to begin but at the start? How cliched to say I grew up in a "Christian" house hold. So many people say they are "Christian" but they don't live the way Jesus wants them to. Its all religion, but that's where my story is different. My parents where authentic Christians. They showed me from a young age what it meant to be a real christian, one that loves like Jesus loves. It was 2004 and my mother was diagnosed with cancer, so what did we do? Cry about it and wonder when she would die? No. We made the best of the time that we had with her and trusted God for a miracle. What better way to live than go on a road trip in a motor home? Still the thought of my mother passing away lingered in my head. Only being 5 at the time, you're not meant to have those kind of thoughts in your head.
